Bengals Name Chad Teichert as Head Volleyball Coach
Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State University Acting Director of Athletics Jeff Tingey has announced that Chad Teichert, one of the top volleyball clinicians in the nation and one of the nation's winningest high school coaches, has been tabbed as the ninth head volleyball coach in ISU history, replacing Mike Welch, who held the post from 2000-2007. Men's Basketball 2007-08, A Tale of Two Seasons
Pocatello, ID --- Looking back at the 2007-08 season for the men's basketball team, specifically in the waning moments of what would be a 75-45 loss to Washington State in Holt Arena, it might have been hard to see the forest through the trees so to speak. That loss was a third straight 30-point loss for the Bengals, and the squad sat at that point at just 2-8, with a win over an NAIA program and an overtime win over Idaho. Things looked bleak ... like five-win bleak. Like disaster-of-a-season bleak. But in the midst of that drubbing came a revelation...one that came from an innocent enough looking play, but it was the play that started ISU back on the road to respectability, and ultimately, to the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament. 2008 Joe O'Brien Boys Basketball Camps Starting to Fill Up
Pocatello, ID --- The 2008 Joe O'Brien ISU Basketball Camp, which range from kindergarten through grade 9, will be conducted Monday, June 23 thru Thursday, June 26 at Reed Gym on the campus of Idaho State University. Spaces for the camp are limited, and the camp is filling up fast, so patron are encouraged to contact the basketball office, or visit the ISU camp page and download the brochure. (more)
