Jared Allen Unable to Attend Bengals in Boise



Jared Allen will be unable to attend the Bengals in Boise golf tournament

Pocatello, ID--The 17th annual Bengals in Boise Golf Scramble set for Saturday, May 31st at the Banbury Golf Club will be short one Bengal athlete for the weekend of events. Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen, the highest paid lineman in NFL history, will be unable to attend the festivities due to a prior contractual commitment with the Vikings that he must keep.

The weekend will begin with a reception in Boise on Friday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. with hosted appetizers, no-host bar and a silent auction. The live auction will begin at 7:30 pm with some great items up for bid this year. Though Allen will not be present the trip for two to any 2008 Vikings home game will still be available at the auction.

Other auction items include a signed and framed jersey of NFL Hall of Fame and former San Francisco 49ers receiver Jerry Rice, an ISU Homecoming package and several golf packages available.

Teams for the scramble will consist of six players, with an entry fee of $100 per player. That fee includes all greens fees, a cart, a barbecue lunch and entrance to the Bengals in Boise Welcome Reception held at Banbury. Members of the ISU coaching staff will also be in attendance.
