2009 ISU Sports Medicine Coaches Clinic Get Acrobat Reader

Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State University's sports medicine staff will host a Coaches Clinic on Friday, July 11 at ISU's Sports and Orthopaedic Clinic. The cost of the clinic is just $30, and it is open to all area junior high coaches, high school coaches, and recreational instructors and coaches.

The cost of the clinic is just $30 ($35 after July 1, and $40 at the door), and patrons can sign up for CPR/AED certification as well, which is an extra $30. The clinic is geared towards junior high, high school, and recreational instructors and coaches who work in a setting with limited or no access to a Certified Athletic Trainer.

The clinic will include sessions on ankle injuries, taping techniques, concussions, knee and shoulder injuries, heat illness, strength training, and emergency planning, along with the optional CPR/AED certification course. Along with ISU's athletic training team of head athletic trainer Jodi Wotowey and assistants Ryan Cromie, Tom Brock, and Greg Obray, ISU team physicians Tony Joseph and Ken Newhouse will also have presentations for the clinic.
