Jeff Tingey Named Assistant A.D. for Marketing and Corporate Sales
June 8, 2007 Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State University Director of Athletics Paul A. Bubb has announced that Jeff Tingey, formerly an assistant marketing director at Brigham Young University has been named as ISU's new Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Corporate Sales. As the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Corporate Sales, Tingey will oversee all Bengal Sport Properties and ISU's corporate partner program and he will provide leadership and oversight for marketing and promotions. He will also serve as a member of the senior staff for the athletic department. Tingey has spent the past year at Brigham Young, where he has handled the marketing profile for football, coordinating game-day presentation, scripts, and pre and post-game activities for the football team. Jeff also oversaw the marketing profiles for men's volleyball, women's soccer, women's basketball, softball, golf, cross country, and track and field. Tingey also coordinated many athletic department special events and trade accounts. Jeff graduated from Weber State University, where he ran track for two years, from 2000-2002. While there, he worked as an intern in the Weber State marketing department, and was then hired as the Assistant Marketing Director after graduating, staying there for four years. While with the Wildcats, he was responsible for the marketing and promotions for women's soccer, volleyball, and basketball, and he also handled a variety of special events for the Wildcats, including the football tailgate party and Big Sky Conference Tournaments. "I am pleased to have someone with Jeff's experience as well as knowledge of our community joining our staff," said Bubb. "His experience as a student-athlete in Pocatello and in the Big Sky Conference brings additional first-hand knowledge of what we need to do to be competitive in our league and beyond." Bubb added, "Jeff's work at two other Division I programs has given him the type of experience we were looking for in this position." "I'm excited for the opportunity to return to Idaho and to work for Idaho State University. This is an excellent opportunity for my family and I," said Tingey. "Idaho State is an outstanding institution and I am honored to be a part of the program. I plan to be an integral cog in the ISU Athletic Department." Tingey, who originally hails from Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School, will start his new position on June 18. |
