Idaho State has 35 Named to Spring All-Big Sky Academic Teams
June 29, 2007 Ogden, UT --- Idaho State had 35 student-athletes honored by the Big Sky Conference, earning All-Academic for the spring semester, Idaho State's best spring ever, and that caps off ISU's best year ever, as a school record 108 student-athletes earned All-Big Sky Academic honors for the school year. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1)Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2)Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3)Completed at least one academic term at his/her current institution. Eastern Washington led all schools with 52 honorees, and they had 144 for the year, the fifth straight year that they have led the Big Sky in that category. For Idaho State, their previous best total for the spring sports season was 32 in the 2004-05 school year. The previous best total for the school year was also in 2004-05, when ISU had 83 student-athletes honored. The records go back to the 2002-03 year, when the current All-Academic qualifications went into effect. Below is a list of the 35 student-athletes.
