Pocatello, ID - With football and the fall sports season right around the corner, that means it is a busy time for Idaho State athletics as the Bengal Foundation has a host of events gearing up, starting with the Miller Lite Bengal Challenge Kickoff and the Bengal Challenge Golf Tournament.
The Miller Lite Bengal Challenge Kickoff kicks off the Bengal Challenge and it will take place on Friday night, August 17 from 6-10 pm at Intermountain Beverage 3034 Garrett Way. Muzzie Braun will be entertaining and food will be provided by Remo's and Mama Inez. Tickets prices are $10 by August 15th or $15 at the door.
Following that is the Bengal Challenge, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19. The unique two-person scramble takes place at both Juniper Hills Country Club and Blackfoot Golf Course. Entries will be accepted through August 15, and those wishing to compete can contact Donna Hays at 208-282-5773 or via email at haysdonn@isu.edu as well.
In addition, the Annual Bengal Foundation Kickoff BBQ will take place at Holt Arena on Wednesday, August 22 at 6:00 pm. The function is free for all Bengal Foundation members, and fans interested in joining should contact Jay McMillin at 208-282-3332 or at mcmijay@isu.edu as well.
