Saturday's Season Opening Football Game Starts ISU's BigSkyTV.org Season
Aug. 28, 2007 Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State's season opening football game against Southern Oregon will be ISU's first www.bigskytv.org telecast. The Big Sky and Broadcast International, of Salt Lake City, Utah, are partnering to bring all football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball matches held in Big Sky venues to fans around the world, along with the indoor track championships, which will be hosted by Idaho State University. Fans can register at www.bigskytv.org to gain access through a variety of packages. "We're pleased to bring Big Sky TV back to the fans,'' said Big Sky Conference Commissioner Doug Fullerton of the relaunching. "We experienced growing pains in our first year, which we had expected, but we were very pleased with the product by the end of the year. We're excited about the platform Broadcast International offers, and we hope fans will be pleased with the upgraded service Broadcast International provides." Big Sky TV will feature sport-specific passes this season. To see all football games - 50 in all - the cost is $39.95. Single-game cost for football is $8.95. To see more than 100 volleyball matches, the cost is $39.95. Single-game cost for volleyball is $4.95. The Big Sky will once again offer school and conference passes. The school pass will allow viewers to see all home and conference games at Idaho State for football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball for only $69.95, which averages out to barely a dollar per game. The conference pass - for $99.95 - offers fans the entire league package for all schools and all sports - more than 350 events. Due to the switch in the video stream provider, fans who registered last year for www.bigskytv.org, must register once again for the upcoming season. Events can be viewed either live, or once free of charge through an archive. Games will remain in the archive for two weeks. Viewers will also have the option to download the game. In its first year, Big Sky TV streamed more than 500 events and provided more than 150,000 streams to individual viewers. Fans from 49 states and 10 countries enjoyed Big Sky Conference sporting events on Big Sky TV in 2006-07. |
