Trunk-or-treat is back at Holt Arena

Oct. 27, 2009

Pocatello, ID --- The Idaho State University Student Athlete Advisory Committee will host a Trunk-or-Treat for area children this Thursday evening in the small parking lot on the South Side of Holt Arena starting at 7:00 pm, and all children as invited to participate in this free event.

Various members of ISU athletic teams will be stationed at cars throughout the small parking lot on the south side of Holt Arena and next to Albion Hall (the Education Building). Young fans and trick-or-treaters can come out and visit with the ISU athletes and get an early start on their Halloween candy stash. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

The event is sponsored by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a board consisting of various student-athletes across all ISU athletic teams. SAAC meets regularly during the year, and serves as a liaison for the student-athletes to the administration, and SAAC also helps with community service projects such as trunk-or-treat as a part of ISU's P.A.W.S. program (Proud Athletes Working and Serving).

Last year's trunk-or-treat was a tremendous success, and Idaho State's student-athletes are looking forward to getting to meet area children prior to Halloween, as many ISU teams are in action on that day, including ISU soccer at home at 1:00 pm against Weber State and volleyball at 7:00 pm against Northern Arizona.
