Press Conference Called Regarding Facilities Plan
Nov. 1, 2005 Pocatello, ID -- Idaho State University Director of Athletics Paul A. Bubb has called a press conference for 4:00 pm on Wednesday in the Bennion Room to introduce the architecture firm of Sink Combs Dethlefs and the facilities planning timeline. The architecture firm, which has designed arenas, conference centers, stadiums, and university athletic and recreation centers throughout the west on campuses such as San Diego State, Northern Colorado, Wyoming, Air Force, Fresno State, Eastern Washington, Colorado, and New Mexico, will have their first meeting with the Idaho State Athletic Facilities Master Planning Committee earlier on Wednesday. The press conference will go over the timelines for the Athletic Facilities Master Plan, as well as the process that the architecture firm of Sink Combs Dethlefs will use to determine Idaho State's facility needs. "This is an important step for Idaho State," said Bubb. "I always hear we need a new basketball facility, or a new football facility, but we don't have enough space in our training room right now, nor do we have adequate meeting space. That's why having a company that specializes in this come to Idaho State in an unbiased fashion to see what really our needs are is important." The press conference is for members of the media only. Details from the press conference will be released afterwards on www.isubengals.com and to ISU media members. |
