Pocatello, ID --- The Idaho State University men's basketball team will host a Black/Orange scrimmage at 7:00 pm at Reed Gym on Thursday, October 29. The scrimmage, which will see head coach Joe O'Brien split his squad up, will be played before NCAA referees and is free to the public.

The tune-up is a chance for the team to get some live action in with fans in the stands before next Tuesday's exhibition opener against UC-Colorado Springs. The Bengals also have an exhibition game on Monday, November 9 as well against defending NAIA National Champion Rocky Mountain College.

"We've been at it for a while now, and this will be a good chance to get some jitters out in front of friends and fans in a live setting," said head coach Joe O'Brien, who has returned ISU basketball into a yearly conference contender and has his team picked third in the preseason polls. "While we have a very veteran ballclub, it will be good to have a game like this under our belts before the real exhibition season begins." In addition, the men's basketball team will join the women's team on Tuesday, November 10 at Outer Limits Fun Zone from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for "Meet the Teams". The event is free and the players will be on-hand to for autographs, and to take part in giveaways, and play games and laser tag with the fans. ISU hosted their first "Meet the Teams" event in the fall with football, volleyball, and soccer, and that event was hugely successful. Bengal fans of all ages are invited, or you can contact KaLee Kopp at 282-5781 or at koppkale@isu.edu.
