Pocatello, ID -- Idaho State University opens up the 2007-08 with a Homecoming of sorts for the coaching staff as the Bengals travel to Big Ten country as they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday night at 7:05 pm Mountain Time in a game that will be broadcast on the new Big Ten Network in High Definition, the first ISU basketball game to ever be broadcast in HD.

The Bengals, who return two starters in Logan Kinghorn and Matt Stucki, picked up an 84-69 exhibition win over Rocky Mountain last Friday, while Iowa, who went 17-14 and 9-7 in the Big Ten last year, won 56-30 over Simpson College. Iowa has won 44 consecutive home openers and 29 straight season openers.

The game is a Homecoming for the coaching staff as head coach Joe O'Brien was the head coach at Southeastern Iowa Community College where he won three JUCO National Championships. Geoff Alexander played at SEICC and Steve Swanson was an assistant coach and athletic director there as well. ISU's Director of Basketball Operations Cody VanFleet earned his undergraduate degree at Iowa and served as a manager for the basketball team there.

The audio feed, originating at ESPN Radio 930 KSEI, will be available on www.isubengals.com as well, with Russ Eisenstein calling the action.
