Alfredo Anderson

June 23, 2009

When first coming to Idaho State in 1998, the name I heard the most about was Alfredo Anderson ... about his amazing athletic ability, about what a good person he was, and about how he was a star in the making. It took over 10 years for someone to best Alfredo's record for rushing yards in a career, but he will still stay in the annals of ISU as one of the greatest tailbacks the school has ever seen. Think about it ... how many running backs are so good they can start a college game at quarterback? Well, Alfredo did that and then some.

As we started this Catching Up With... series, the fans have asked for Alfredo Anderson, and we have found him still proud of his home state of Florida, and still looking like he can run for a thousand yards, so let's catch up with ... Alfredo Anderson.

What did you do after leaving ISU?
I came back to Miami and started working and raising a family.

What I'm currently working on right now:
I'm currently in the finishing stages of remodeling my kitchen

What's in my iPod:
I don't have an ipod (I have to get me one of those things)

What I'm driving:
A 2009 Maxima with a place to hook up an iPod LOL!!

Favorite Flicks:
Seven, the Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile (I know I'm supposed to be this tough football player, but I cried when they electrocuted John Coffey), The Sixth Sense, Just Cause, The Usual Suspects, Rudy (I cried too), The Thomas Crown Affair, Ocean's 11, 12, and 13, A Time to Kill, Lean on Me, Life, Dumb and Dumber, Something the Lord Made, all of the Friday movies, Inside Man, and Tombstone

My top bookmarks on my computer are:
I have none! (EDITOR's NOTE ... ISU suggests www.isubengals.com!)

I would love to trade places for a day with:
Michael Jordan

My very first job was:
Teacher assistant (it was a summer job)

The talent I wish I had was:
Attainable talent: singing. Unattainable talent: the ability to see dead people and help them close chapters in their life that they didn't get a chance to when they were here.

My perfect dinner guest is:
Barack Obama

My favorite team to root for is:
The Miami Dolphins ... actually any team from Florida, high school, college, or professional

My dream date is:
Answer not printable LOL!!!

My Motto is:
Always have an open mind for it will open your heart. When you hate someone, the only person that suffers is you. Why? Because half of the people don't know that you hate them and the other half doesn't care if you hate them.
