Football Game Notes: Idaho State hosting Portland State Get Acrobat Reader

Pocatello, ID --- In a case of deja vu all over again, Idaho State is looking towards their season finale at home after a close call with Montana, just like last year. This year however it's Portland State coming to town as ISU celebrates the NCAA's "Take a Kid to the Game" promotion as all children 12 and under will get in free with an adult. The game kicks off at 3:35 pm in Holt Arena.

Idaho State nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in FCS or I-AA history as the Bengals had the #2 Montana Grizzlies on the ropes until 33-yard Brody McKnight field goal that actually was tipped by two players for the Bengals powered through the uprights to give the Griz a 12-10 victory.

Idaho State entered their season finale last year at 0-11, and this year they are 0-10 but playing better of late. In last year's finale the Bengals got a late field goal to tie the game at 30 and won in overtime 36-33 over Sacramento State.

Portland State enters the game at 2-8 on the season and 1-6 in the Big Sky, their lone conference win coming on the road and in the snow at Northern Colorado 23-18. The Bengals and the Vikings always prefer for this game to be at home, because the home team has won the last nine in the series.

Prior to the game, the Bengals will say goodbye to 14 seniors that will be playing in their final game.

The game will be available on The Bengal Radio Network, which is flagshipped at ESPN Radio 930 AM KSEI in Pocatello and KRXK 1230 AM in Idaho Falls. The Bengal Radio Network also contains stations in Idaho Falls (KGTM 98.1 FM) and Twin Falls (KTFI AM 1270 AM). Brad Bugger will fill in for Jerry Miller on play-by-play with Hall of Famer Mike Calley will have the call. The game will also be available on at www.bigskytv.org.
