Bengals Tie for 9th Place in Bill Cullum Invitational

Simi Valley, CA--The Idaho State men's golf team ties for 9th place in the Bill Cullum Invitational held at the Wood Ranch Golf Course Monday morning. The Bengals posted a first round score of 302 and a second round score of 300 (+26). Mark Cowman, a native of Idaho, leads the Bengals with a two-round score of 146 (+2).

Junior, Cowman shot an excellent first round score of 70(-2) and a second round score of 76(+4) to tie for 13th place. Kyle Prolo is tied for 17th place with a first round score of 76(+4) and a second round score of 71(-1). Dylan Meyer is tied for 24th place with a two-round score of 149(+5). With an 80 first and second round score Steve Peters is tied for 72nd place with a two-round score of 160. Nick Morrison is holding 89th place with a two-round score of 172.

Leading the tournament is Michael Casca of UC-Santa Barbara with an exceptional first round score of 67(-5) and a second round score of 72 for a combined score of 139(-5). Brandon Crick of Gonzaga and Bryan Hogan of CSU Bakersfield is only one stroke behind Casca with a combined score of 140(-4).

Tuesday's final round is scheduled for 7 a.m. at the Wood Ranch Golf Course.
