2007-08 Track: Competed in the indoor season for the Bengals but sat out the outdoor season... Finished second at the elite Reno Pole Vault Summit (1/5), clearing a height of 14-9... Won the high jump at the Snake River Open (1/18) with a season-best mark of 6-05.00... Captured the 60-meter dash at the Snake River Open (1/18), running a time of 7.24 seconds... Cleared 6-4.25 in the high jump at the Big Sky Indoor Championships... At the Mountain States Games (2/4) he jumped 20-2.25 in the long jump... Clocked a 7.45 finish in the 60-meter dash at the Intermountain Championships (3/4)... Vaulted 13-11.25 at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in the pole vault... Competed once during the indoor season in the triple jump recording a 40-10.50 jump at the Snake River Open (1/14)... Threw a season-best of 38-7.75 in the shot put at the Mountain States Games... 2003-05 Track: Absent due to a mission.

2002-03 Track: Competed in the 55-meter hurdles running a season best of 8.00 at the Montana State Dual (2/21)... Competed in the pentathlon scoring 3163 and placing ninth overall at the Mountain States Games (2/7)... Placed first while recording a season best of 42-0.25 in the triple jump at the Intermountain Championships (3/8)... Jumped 6-2 for a first place high jump finish at the Intermountain Championships (3/8)... Ran the 100-meter hurdles outdoors with his best time of 15.11 coming at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/17)... Placed second in the 400-meter hurdles at the ISU Springfest (5/3) in a time of 55.75...Placed seventh at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/17) in the decathlon scoring a season high of 6600 points.

High School: Finished third at the state meet in the 110-meter high hurdles, 300-meter intermediate hurdles and high jump for Jerome High...Has bests of 6-4 in the high jump, 15.16 in the 110 hurdles and 40.24 in the 300 hurdles... A four-sport athlete at JHS, earning letters in cross country, track, basketball and tennis... Placed second in the state of Idaho as a senior in cross country... A strong student as well, earning high honor roll recognition with a 3.8 GPA...Was also an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Honor Society... In basketball for JHS he was named Player of the Game four times.

Personal: Parents are Brian and Ranae Capps...Has four siblings, Joshua, Cathy, Jason and Chace... Cousins Jana and Kevin Capps both competed for the Bengal track team as pole vaulters...Majoring in Spanish with a minor in Biology.
