Jackie Poulson enters her fifth year as an assistant coach to the Idaho State track and field team after competing four years as an athlete for the Bengals.

Poulson will aid Coach Nielsen in the training of the mulit-event athletes sharing her knowledge of the heptathlon after being a two-time All-American and Big Sky Champion in the event. She holds the Idaho State University records in the 400-meter hurdles and the heptathlon.

She was a participant in the Olympic Trials in 2004 and has competed in the Netherlands, Puerto Rico and Italy.

Poulson is from American Falls, where she attended American Falls High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Idaho State University in 2003.
