2007-08 Track: Competed in the indoor track season for the Bengals... Finished no worse than third in all six shot put competitions he entered... Won the shot put competition at the BYU Cougar Meet (1/12), the USU Wilson Motor Invite (1/18), MSU Open (2/1) and the Best Buy Wildcat Indoor Open (2/23), throwing a season-high of 53-02.75 at the Best Buy meet... Finished third at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships (2/29) by matching that throw of 53-02.75... Posted a season-best weight throw of 52-10 at the USU Wilson Motor Invite (1/18) and the MSU Open (2/1), winning the USU meet in the process.

2006-07 Track: Competed in the outdoor track season as a thrower...Threw a distance of 50-8 in the shot put at the Weber State Twilight Meet (5/2)...Threw best discus throw of the season for the Bengals with a 166-7 throw at the Mt. Sac Relays (4/14)...Achieved the best hammer throw for the season with a distance of 150-10 at the Idaho State Spring Fest (4/21)...Took seventh place in shot put with a distance of 52-07.25 in the Big Sky Outdoor Championship (5/12)...Threw a distance of 163-11.00 for a third place finish in the men's discus throw earning him All-Big Sky Conference honors.

2005-06 Track: Had an excellent sophomore season... Threw 52-5.50 in the shot put at the ISU Multiple Duals (2/11) for a season-best mark... Took eighth at the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/25) with a mark of 49-6.50... Had a second best throw of 51-4 at the Snake River Open (1/14)... In the weight throw he had a season-best mark of 52-4.50 at the Big Sky Championships where he placed ninth in the event... He also threw 52-0 at the Intermountain Championships (3/4) to place third in the event... Outdoors he had a mark of 51-4.50 at the Mark Faldmo Invitational (4/22) as a season-best... He threw 51-3.50 at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships (5/13) to place ninth... In the hammer throw he had a mark of 157-3 at the Weber State Twilight (5/3) as a season-best mark... He threw 154-0 at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships to place 11th... He threw a personal-best of 165-5 at the Big Sky Championships in the discus to place sixth and rank himself ninth on the all-time ISU performers list... He also had a mark of 162-0 in the discus at the Robison Invitational (4/29) where he took seventh.

2004-05 Track: Competed both the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Bengals in the throws... Placed in the top-ten at all seven indoor meets in the shot put... Threw 50-11 at the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/26) for a seventh place finish... Took second at ISU's Friday Night Dual (1/28) with a toss of 49-9.50... Recorded another 50-11 mark at the Mountain States Games (2/5) placing seventh... Threw a season best of 45-3.50 at the Snake River Open (1/15) in the weight throw... Recorded his second best weight throw mark of 42-5 at the Mountain States Games... Outdoors he placed third at the Mark Faldmo Invitational (4/16) with a mark of 51-3.75 in the shot put... He competed at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships (5/14) in the shot put placing 13th... Also competed at the BSC Championships in the discus where he nearly missed All-Conference honors by placing fourth with a toss of 160-5... His best discus mark of 161-7 was recorded at the Robison Invitational (4/23)... Competed in the hammer throw four times with his best mark coming at the ISU Springfest (4/30) where he threw 130-8.

High School: Won seven letters between basketball, football and track... Second team All-Region in basketball as a senior... Second team All-Conference as a punter in football... 2002 State Football Champions... State runner-up in football in 2003... State runner-up in basketball 2004... School discus record holder with 185-2 mark... State champion in both shot put and discus events in 2004... State discus champion in 2003.

Personal: Parents are Russ and Bev Sion...Majoring in Physical Education... Father played football for ISU...Brother Zeb was a member of the Georgia Tech track and field team.
