Cedar City, UT --- Junior Sergio Jones recorded a NCAA Regional qualifying mark in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 21.02 seconds at the SUU Invitational on Saturday in Cedar City. Besides qualifying Jones for the NCAA Regional Championships, the mark is the fourth-fastest in school history and the top mark in the Big Sky this season.

Jones won the 200-meter dash, the 100-meter dash and the long jump, improving his earlier Big Sky qualifying mark in the latter by jumping a distance of 23-03.50.

Levi Keller added four inches to his already-Big-Sky-leading mark in the pole vault, clearing 17-00.75 to win the event. Keller posted an NCAA Regional mark two weeks ago in southern California, and added two inches last week at the Robison Invitational.

Senior Jacob Keller and freshman Roderick Rumble each posted Big Sky qualifying marks in the high jump. Keller's mark of 6-08.75 is the second-longest in the Big Sky this season. Rumble, competing in his first meet of the outdoor campaign after completing spring football practices, jumped 6-06.75 in the high jump.

Two other ISU men improved on Big Sky qualifying marks in Cedar City. Mike Arnold added 1/4 of an inch to his pole vault mark, clearing 16-00.75, and freshman Logan Henderson ran a time of 54.15 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles.

Senior Jed Sion finished in the top three in all three of his throwing events (third in the hammer, second in the discus throw, and first in the shot put). Entering the weekend, Sion still held the Big Sky's top mark in the discus, and was in the Top 5 in the shot and hammer.

Several ISU athletes will compete in "last chance" meets this weekend in Utah. The Big Sky Conference Championships take place May 13-16 in Missoula, Mont.
