Albuquerque, N.M. - Sophomore Keane Shuler led the Bengals Saturday in the squads last meet of the season, completing the 10K course at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course in a time of 32:28.4. The Idaho State men's cross country team finished 16th at the NCAA Mountain Regional compiling 419 team points.

Senior John Ricardi finished 71st with a time of 32:33.4 and junior Ryan Davis ran a 33:00.3 to finish 85th. Freshman Bryce Jenkins took 94th running a 33:22.0 while junior Mike Tucker rounded out the Bengal top five taking 101st place with a time of 33:35.9. Junior Zac Barrett and graduate student Josh Wageman did not score for the Bengals but did take 108th and 112th respectively.

"I think Keane Shuler had a great race," ISU Head Coach Brian Janssen said. "I thought the rest of the men ran pretty well too. The ones that have been struggling with the flu, John Ricardi and Josh Wageman, both had issues with the added distance and probably didn't run as well as they had hoped to. Zac Barrett had a side stitch that nagged at him, but Ryan Davis, Keane Shuler and Mike Tucker all showed a lot of strength and had pretty good races."

Brigham Young won the event with a team score of 54 earning a NCAA Championship berth along with a second-place Colorado team finishing just behind BYU with 55 points. Northern Arizona's David McNeill won on the individual side running a 29:51.6. Northern Arizona, this season's Big Sky Conference Champion, led the conference Saturday finishing fourth overall at the NCAA Regional with 86 points.

Idaho State finished 15th at the NCAA Mountain Regional last year led by Ryan Davis who ran a 32:31.5 to finish 77th.
