Fort Collins, CO --- The Idaho State men's cross country team capped off the 2008 season with a 15th-place showing at the NCAA Mountain Regionals on Saturday at Colandale Golf Course in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Running without John Ricardi, who posted ISU's top time in both of the races he competed in this season, the Bengals managed a score of 451, 27 points behind 14th-place New Mexico State. Ryan Davis led the Bengals by completing the 10K course in 32:31.5, good for 77th place.

Logan Torgison closed out a very successful freshman season by running a time of 33:39.1, earning him 90th place overall. Zach Barrett, who missed part of the season with an injury, finished 101st with a time of 34:07.9, and freshman Chaz Anestos came in 102nd in 34:35.5.

Aaron Wolfe was ISU's last scoring runner, taking 104th place with a time of 35:22.1. Eric Strand placed 106th, finishing in 35:40.9.

Ricardi, who competed in both races at less than 100 percent due to a stomach virus, did not compete for the Bengals in Fort Collins.

None of the Bengals are seniors, meaning the entire squad could return for the 2009 season.
