2009 Women's Cross Country Schedule

Pocatello, ID--Idaho State University head cross country coach Brian Janssen has announced the 2009 cross country schedule which features five regular meets including two home meets and an alumni meet. Janssen begins his season at the BYU Invitational on Saturday, September 5 in Provo, Utah.

"The last couple years we have managed to have two home meets," said head coach Janssen. "Almost no one has two meets."

The Bengals will host Southern Utah and Utah Valley in their first home meet on Saturday, September 12 before heading to Boise to compete in the Bob Firman/All Idaho meet on September 26. The Bob Firman/All Idaho Meet will feature competitors only from Idaho.

The Bengals will compete in the Southern Utah Invitational on September 10 in Cedar City before returning home to host its final home meet of the season against the College of Idaho on Saturday, October 17.

Idaho State will also host its 24th annual ISU Alumni Meet on Saturday, October 24 where current and former Bengals meet up for a friendly race prior to competing in the Big Sky Championship. The Bengals will compete in the Big Sky Championship in Greeley, Colorado.

"I think we are in a position to be as good as or better than last year," said head coach Janssen.

If the Bengals advance they will compete in the NCAA Regionals on November 14, then the NCAA Nationals on November 23 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
