After a four-year career with the Idaho State women's volleyball team, Ali Gorny has decided to give basketball a try. The 6-1 center is atop numerous ISU all-time career volleyball records.
High School: Played her freshman and sophomore seasons on the women's basketball team at Littlerock High School in California... Was also a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and softball at Littlerock... Was voted First-Team All-Conference for volleyball in 1999 and helped her team to the 2000 CIF Southern section playoffs... Also competed in the Big League World Series Finals in softball.
Personal: Parents are Valerie and Andrew Gorny... Has a brother, Chris, who played on BYU's 2000 NCAA Volleyball Champion squad... Graduated from Idaho State with a bachelor's degree in physical education... Is currently working on a masters degree in athletic administration at ISU.
