Arroyo Grande, CA--The ISU women's golf team competed in the Lamkin Cup/Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational on Monday morning at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course. The Bengals are tied for 15th place in the tournament alongside Southern Utah University with a score of 336(+48).

Senior, Hannah Venn leads the Bengals with a first round score of 76(+4). Venn shot a 38 on the first nine and a 38 on the back nine helping her tie for 14th place. Katrina Phillips holds a tie for 60th place with a score of 84(+12). Phillips shot a 40 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine. Alysia Hall and Sadie Venn are tied for 85th place with a score of 88(+16). Hall shot a 43 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine, while Venn shot a 47 on the front nine and improved with a 41 on the back nine. Sophomore, Emily Evans is tied for 93rd place with a score of 92(+20). Evans shot a 44 on the front nine and a 48 on the back nine.

UC-Riverside leads the tournament with a team score of 299(+11). The Bengals will continue the two round tournament Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
