MOLITOR'S CONTRACT NOT RENEWED FOR 2009-2010
Interim Athletic Director Jeff Tingey announced on March 18 that golf coach Dave Molitor will not have his contract renewed for the 2009-10 season. Molitor, who was in his fifth season as the women's golf coach, will not accompany the team to any of the final three tournaments. Molitor had overseen both the women's golf team and the men's golf squad since the 2004-05 season, but men's golf was continued this past season. The women's golf team, which has finished last in the Big Sky Conference for six consecutive years, has three tournaments remaining this year, including this week's Dixie Classic. Jay McMillan, the Assistant Athletic Director for Major Gifts and the administrator of the golf program, will take over coordinating practices, and will accompany the team to St. George, Utah, this week.
