Pocatello, ID --- Annamarie Hofstetter, owner of the Big Sky Conference career assists record, added another honor to her name as she earned her second straight ESPN The Magazine First Team Academic All-District VIII honor, and she will now advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.

Hofstetter has been a catalyst for Idaho State's season in 2009, as she is tied for the team lead in goals with four, and tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with two. She also has four assists and 12 points, both totals second on the team. Earlier this year against Northern Arizona, Hofstetter broke the Big Sky's career assist record, and she now has 24 for her career.

Hofstetter was honored as a First Team pick for District VIII last season, and as a sophomore she was named to the third team. District VIII comprises all Division I universities and Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Alaska, and Idaho. Hofstetter was one of four Big Sky players honored in District VIII, and one of six overall across the three teams.
