Annamarie Hofstetter

Nov. 8, 2007

Pocatello, ID -- Annamarie Hofstetter, a sophomore midfielder, was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Third Team. The team is comprised of soccer players from Idaho, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Arizona, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, and it includes conferences such as the Pac-10, the Mountain West, and the WAC.

Hofstetter, who is currently undecided, is carrying a perfect 4.00 grade point average, lead the team in assists for the second straight year, this time with six. She is just three assists away from the ISU career record, and four from the Big Sky career mark.

In order to make it onto the ESPN The Magazine All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minumum cumulative grade point average of 3.2, be a starter or an important reserve, and then be voted onto the team by the various sports information personnel in the district.
