2007-08 Track: Became the 45th Idaho State track and field athlete to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, qualifying for the heptathlon... Sat in 26th place after the first day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/13), but an injury forced her to withdraw for the second day of competition... Won three heptathlons during outdoor competition, including the Big Sky Conference Championships (5/17) with 5,402 points... Won 13 individual events as part of heptathlons during the outdoor season, and 10 more individual events outside of heptathlons... Captured 16 titles, including pentathlon and individual events, during the indoor season for a total of 39 event wins during the 2007-08 season... Won the 60-meter hurdles at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships (2/29) with a time of 8.59 seconds, but posted a time of .08 seconds faster in the pentathlon portion of the 60-meter hurdles... Cleared a height of 5-08.00 twice during the indoor season, winning both the Mountain State Games (2/8) and the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/29)... Recorded an indoor-best long jump of 17-04.75 in the pentathlon at the Big Sky Indoor Championships (2/29)... Took fifth in the shot put at the MSU Open (2/1) with an indoor-best throw of 41-04.50... High School: Was a four year member of the track and basketball teams and a three year member of the volleyball team at Cascade High School... In volleyball, she was team MVP for three years; league MVP, First Team All-League... First Team All-State, and holds nine school records in kills, assists, and saves... In basketball, she was voted three time MVP, league MVP, Second Team All-State and averaged 16 points per game... Cassie was also First Team All-League and team leader in scoring, steals, and rebounds... Her track career included four years of state meet appearances with wins in the 100 meter hurdles twice, 300 meter hurdles twice, and javelin twice along with placing in other events five times over the four years... She was also the track team captain two years, All-League, voted MVP track athlete, MVP field athlete, Team's Most Inspirational... Was also the North Central Washington High School Female Athlete of the Year in 2005...Was a member of a state participating volleyball team two years... Member of the seventh place basketball team in 2004 at state... Was a member of the 2003 State Track Championship team and 2004 fourth place team...Was a 4.0 student...Valedictorian for Cascade High School...Member of the Honor Roll and President of the National Honor Society.
