Cedar City, UT --- Sydney Wendt added a sixth Big Sky Conference qualifying mark at the SUU Invitational, running a time of 14.75 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, surpassing the qualifying standard of 15.00 seconds.

Wendt missed qualifying in the 100-meter hurdles by .01 seconds at the Robison Invitational on April 25 in Provo, Utah, running a time of 15.01 seconds. The junior from Idaho Falls previously qualified in the 400-meter hurdles, long jump, triple jump, high jump and the heptathlon, and added an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark in the high jump.

Sasha Buylova added a fourth Big Sky qualifying mark Saturday, running a time of 14.97 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Gemma Maini ran a time of 2:15.94 to qualify in the 800-meter run, and Kris Thomasberg cleared 5-03.00 in the high jump, matching the Big Sky qualifying standard.

Three other ISU women improved on earlier Big Sky qualifying marks in Cedar City. Jessica Johnson-Williams ran a time of 24.65 seconds in the 200-meter run, the second-fastest time in the Big Sky this season. Kylee Gleason improved her qualifying mark in the pole vault to 11-11.75, and Carrie Connett cut her time in the 400-meter hurdles to 1:03.74.

Several ISU athletes will compete in "last chance" meets this weekend in Utah. The Big Sky Conference Championships take place May 13-16 in Missoula, Mont.
