Complete Weekly Track Notes: Mt. SAC Relays & Mark Faldmo Invite 
QUICKLY
The Bengals competed in the Mt. SAC Relays which included the Azusa Pacific University Heptathlon and the Mark Faldmo Invitational over the weekend capturing several victories. Senior Lois Ricardi qualified for nationals with her 3,000-meter steeplechase time at the Mt. SAC Relays. Idaho State prepares for their next competition at the BYU Robison Invitational starting April 23rd.
NATIONAL QUALIFIERS
Senior Lois Ricardi took third place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays Thursday. She ran a time of 10:40.64 which qualified her for nationals. The NCAA Division I national qualifying standard is 10:50.25. Ricardi will join junior Cassie Merkley at the NCAA Championship Final June 11-14th in Des Moines, Iowa. Merkley met the automatic qualifying standard in the heptathlon with 5,563 points at the CSUN Decathlon and Heptathlon.
MARK FALDMO INVITE
The Idaho State track and field team traveled to Utah State University to compete in the Mark Faldmo Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The women's team had an impressive weekend when they captured five first place finishes and met 14 Big Sky qualifying standards. The men had one second place finish, six third place victories and met four Big Sky qualifying standards.
BYU ROBISON INVITATIONAL
Idaho State prepares for the BYU Clarence Robison Invitational from April 23-26th in Provo, Utah. Three men will plan to compete in the decathlon and ten women are going to compete in the heptathlon.
The decathlon and heptathlon competitions will occur on Wednesday and Thursday while the field and running events will occur on Friday and Saturday. Wednesday the heptathlon kicks off at 12 p.m. while the decathlon begins at 12:15 p.m. On Friday the field events start at 11 a.m. with the javelin throw and the running events begin at 1 p.m. with the 100-meter hurdles.
