Schedule/Results | Roster | News | Archives Bengal Volleyball Diary - Entry #4
Sept. 5, 2006 It was yet again another busy week for the Bengals. We started the week off with our first home game against Montana-Western. We had some great plays and we ended up on top. I think it was a good match to get our hometown jitters out. We then traveled to Boise on Wednesday to play our in-state rivals, the Boise Broncos. We lost in three and we were all disappointed in our performance. We are working really hard to take each experience and use it to make us better as a team. I feel like the Boise match was a good learning experience. The team stayed the night in Boise on Wednesday night and then traveled to Florida early the next morning. Having 14 players creates a challenge with traveling for our team. We are only allowed to have 12 players travel anytime we fly. I stayed home this following weekend and I would like to thank Christine Collette with her help on the Bengal diary this week. She gave us all of the info for the weekend. Thursday we traveled all day. Friday we played Murray State; we played well but we didn't pull it out. They were a small scrappy team. Saturday we played Appalachian State and we played well, again. The match against North Florida was our best effort of the weekend, even though we didn't win. A lot of things came together for us that match. Over the weekend, a few of our players were injured. This is just one more thing for our team to preserver through, and I really believe it will make us stronger.
We will be hosting our second home match this week. We look forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions about the schedule you can find it here on the volleyball website. Last but not least GO BENGALS!!!!!!! |
