Pocatello, ID-Senior Emily Waldron is the 14th Bengal since 1985 to reach 1,000 career points in the volleyball program when she posted 12 kills against #15 USC at the Wolverine Invitational on Friday in Orem, Utah. Waldron earned her 1,000th career point during the third set of the #15 Southern California match where the Bengals fell 3-0 to its first ranked opponent of the season. In the match, Waldron posted her third double-double of the season posting 12 kills and 10 digs. She also recorded a .385 hitting percentage against the Trojans as she unleashed 26 attacks and only two errors. Waldron went on to earn All-Tournament Honors at the Wolverine Invitational, her second All-Tournament Honors for the season. Over her career she has averaged 2.52 kills, 0.26 service aces, and 0.24 blocks per set. This season she is averaging 2.52 kills per set and posts a .257 hitting percentage. Currently, Waldron holds 1,018 career points (883 kills, 90 service aces and 84 total blocks) after the Wolverine Invitational placing her 13th on the All-Time 1,000 Career-Points record list. Margaret Smith leads the All-Time Points Record at Idaho State as she posted 1,774 from 1985-87. |
