Weekly Volleyball Notes: Bengals Welcome UNC, NAU for Final Home Stand



Senior Katie Edgson will be playing the final home matches of her Idaho State career this week.

Quickly The Bengals return to Reed Gym for the final home stand of the season when they host Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona. Idaho State is coming off a road loss to Sacramento State 3-0. Idaho State is still alive for the Big Sky Tournament but must win their remaining four matches and hope that both Northern Arizona and Montana lose their remaining matches to have a chance.

About the Bengals
The Idaho State Bengals lose their fifth straight match as they fall to Sacramento State 3-0 (18-30, 13-30, 13-30) in the state capital of California. The Bengals struggled with execution as they had more errors (21) than they had kills (19). Charlee Kinghorn and Sarah Carson led the Bengals in kills with 6 each. Emily Waldron topped Idaho State in digs with 9. Senior Katie Edgson did not play in the match.

About Northern Colorado
The University of Northern Colorado volleyball team dropped a five-game heartbreaker to Eastern Washington in Butler-Hancock in the last home match of the season for the Bears (34-36, 30-23, 25-30, 30-26, 15-11). Northern Colorado was led by sophomore outside hitter Kenzie Shreeve with 23 kills, while sophomore middle blocker Taylor Smith added a career-high 19 kills. The Bears will travel to Weber State on Friday.
