Bengal Diary - Entry #13

Entry #13

Nov. 6, 2005

This weekend was one that we needed. The Bengals had a hard start after falling to Sacramento State in three at home on Friday night, but we knew that something would have to change if we were going to win on Saturday.

Trying to work too hard, trying to do too many things individually instead of relying on one another was killing us. I think that Karli said it best in the locker room between games two and three against NAU. She said "we just need to have confidence in ourselves and in our abilities and those of our teammates." Her words gave us what we needed--the confidence that we could do our jobs and that our teammates would do the same.

Third game we were ready to do just that: OUR JOB. And on Saturday night our job was to beat NAU and that is what we did.

We came out and as a team and we showed the Lumberjacks what the Bengals were made of. We had guts. And we left them all on the floor.

With one more "W" on the record, we go on the road for our last weekend before the Big Sky Tournament. Wish us luck.

See ya soon. Don't be a stranger. Nikki Havens
