Bengals take 2nd and 3rd place in the Southern Utah Invitational at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course Saturday morning. There were three top five finishes for Idaho State. The men's team ended the 8-kilometer race with two top-five finishes and the women's team ended the 5-kilometer race with one top-five finish.
MEN'S RESULTS
The men's team took 2nd place in the meet with 35 points. Saheed Khan led the Bengals with a 2nd place finish, his fourth top-five finish of the season. Khan finished the race with a time of 22:35.60 in the 8-kilometer race. John Ricardi also had a top-five finish by taking 4th place with a time of 23:10.40. Tysun Rickards took 14th place with a time of 23:45.50. Mike Tucker ran the 8-kilometer race in 23:46.70. Taylor Hansen took 20th place with a time of 24:09.10. Finishing with a time of 25:01.30 Ryan Davis was able to take 32nd place. Zach Barrett finished in race in 25:12.10 taking 37th place. Ryan Hansen ran the 8-kilometer race in 26:59.90 taking 45th place.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
The women's team took 3rd place in the meet with 68 points. In the lead for the Bengals was Gemma Maini finishing with a time of 16:20.90 in the 5-kilometer race to take 4th place. Erica Wendt finished in 11th place with a time of 16:59.10. Haiden Siepert finished the 5-kilometer race with a time of 17:425.50 taking 20th place. Kerynn Davis finished in 23rd place with a time of 17:50.10. Chealsea McEwen took 31st place with a time of 19:08.60. Holly Hansen ran the 5-kilometer race in 19:26.70 to take 34th place. Jessica Bobert finished behind Hansen to take 35th place with a time of 20:06.20. Candida Butler took 37th place with a time of 20:18.80.
