Nov. 11, 2006 Albuquerque N.M.-- Idaho State's cross country team traveled to the University of New Mexico to compete in the Mountain Region Championships. The Idaho State women finished the day in a tie for 11th place with the University of Utah. The men placed in 15th. Sarah Skeem once again led the lady Bengals with a finish of 36th out of a field of 119 runners. Skeem ran the 6-kilometer race in a time of 22:16.6. Matt Nelson lead the men with a time of 33:57.1 in an 10-kilometer race good enough for a 79 place finish out of a field of 105 runners. Other finishers for the lady Bengals were Lois Ricardi in 48th place with a time of 22:40.6. Gemma Maini finished in 66th with a time of 23:17.3. Jennifer Downey finished the race in 75th place with a time of 23:29.4. Kerynn Davis followed in 85th place and a time of 23:50.5. Shannalee Christman was one place behind in 86th just two seconds back with a time of 23:52.6. Melissa McLimore finished the day in 91st with a time of 24:07.5. For the men Brandon Teeter finished the race in 85th with a time of 34:10.9. His brother Landen Teeter finished in 90th place and a time of 34:26.1. Taylor Hansen was only tow places behind in 92nd place with a time of 34:34.8. Tysun Rickards finished the race in 98th place with a time of 35:14.8. Kol Henrikson finished in 99th with a time of 35:35.4. Mike Tucker finished in 101st place and a time of 36:42.8. |
